For Day 11 of National Poetry Month, I wrote about these roses that graced the Tuscan winery we stayed at in 2024. Often when I look at a flower, I’m amazed at its perfection.
If you’ve ever been inspired by a flower, share a haiku in the comments. For each haiku you share, I’ll enter your name into a drawing for my book of haiku, Life: Haiku by Haiku.

Little Bluestem Grass
Native to Kansas prairies
Guarding the limestone
I can see it waving in the wind. Nice. Thanks, Robb!
Let velvet petals
Droop and curl among fresh bud
Dead among the living
What a powerful last line. That’s one thing I love about haiku. Thanks for sharing, Pam!
