National Poetry Month – Day 1

Happy National Poetry Month! (And Happy April Fools’ Day, too!) I’ll be celebrating the month by writing a haiku each day of April. I’d love for you to join me and share your haiku in the comments! For each haiku you share, I’ll enter your name into a contest for my book of haiku, Life: Haiku by Haiku. (If you share 5 haikus, you’ll be entered 5 times.)

Here’s my first haiku, titled “April Fools.”

Black and white image of a person with a comical disguise, including a fake nose, glasses, and mustache, smiling with arms crossed, featuring text about pranks and laughter.

Give the prompt “April Fools” a try, but feel free to share a haiku on any topic! Most important, have fun!!
