Howdy from the Silver Spur Ranch in Bandera, Texas! I’m here for The Wild Rose Press writers’ retreat with my friends of rhe Sisterhood of the Traveling Pen. But, I sure didn’t want to miss out on fun with the Fictioneers, so here’s my story.
This photo was taken in Mykonos, Greece, a place I hope to return to one day. I was attracted to this scene and snapped the picture because I saw it as a metaphor for life.

A lovely, optimistic haiku for a great photo and prompt. Interesting how many takes were on the negative side when I’m sure most people associate the alleyways of the Greek isles with happy times.

Such a positive interpretation when so many of the stories have gone for thieving, claustrophobia, getting lost….nice to come back to the original feeling behind the shot. My piece is pretty strange, but I had a strange time when I was in Crete!
