I couldn’t resist having a little fun with this week’s photo prompt by Madison Woods. What else can you do with a photo of two moths visiting a McDonald’s?

Last Supper
Larry-the-Luna-Moth landed next to his true love, Lulu. “Darlin’, we’ve had quite a week together, haven’t we?”
She took a long breath. “First I broke out of a dark, stringy prison. Then, avoided a myriad of predators. Little did I know, the real predator was you! You, a fellow actias luna, ravaged me over and over. Finally, pushing out those blasted eggs! I’m ready for that last supper you promised me. Some good, hot fries.”
Larry checked his biological clock, grateful they had but a few seconds left. “Silly Lulu. Don’t you know moths don’t eat?”

I love the stories this week. Getting a feel for the personality and adventures moths undertake. Who’d have thought it! This made me smile, particularly when he checked his ‘biological clock’. My brain just showed me a moth with a wrist watch.
Here’s mine, not as happy as the others I’m afraid.

Thanks, EmmaMc. That’s what I love about Madison’s photos — they inspire us to be creative. 🙂
Lol. Ravished her over and over. That line really cracked me up. Great story.

Thanks! Even moths can have a little fun, eh? 🙂
That was a Lulu of a story. Some might even call it a whopper (oops, wrong restaurant chain). You must have studied Entomology.

You’re so funny, Russell. Even in your comments. 🙂
Hmm, a nice story, with Lulu being ravished again and again, on the eve of their expiry. Mine is here: http://readinpleasure.wordpress.com/2012/05/25/fridayfictioneers-preying-mantis/
Thank you, Celestine. Not a bad way to go, is it?
I don’t think I’ll be able to look at moths in quite the same way after this week’s prompt. Nice one, liked it.

Thanks, Sandra. You’re right — these stories have completely changed my perspective on moths. Well, at least the big, pretty ones. 🙂
What the lol, batman. That was grin inducing. http://kaitlinandmichaelbranch.com/2012/05/25/angel-in-a-polyester-uniform/
Thanks, Kaitlin. 🙂
Silly Rabbit, er, Lulu, tricks are for kids.
Good one, Jan.

Ha! JKBradley, that’s exactly what I thought when I wrote that last line.
I feel bad, this is like the third Moth inspired story I’ve seen, they are all so original and quirky. Yours is the best though because everyone gets hungry, and it’a all well deserved. I kind of wish I did a moth story, here’s mine: http://remakingme-atiyatownes.blogspot.com/2012/05/friday-flash-fiction-best-hubby-ever.html
You certainly shouldn’t feel bad, Atiya. I enjoyed your story — very creative use of the photo prompt!
Hey Jan! I haven’t seen you here in ages, have I? Glad to have you back and with this delightfully cruel little shaggy moth story.
Yours stil writing,
Lindaura
And for those who have not dropped by yet, here I am:

Lindaura, May was a crazy busy month. Now that things have settled a bit, I’m looking forward to being a Fictioneer again. I missed you guys!
Oh cruel fate! Fun tale, Jan.

Thank you, Kwadwo. Yours was incredible.
After that wonderfully carnal week together, who wouldn’t be hungry, even for McDonalds. Here’s mine: http://postcardfiction.com/2012/05/25/despite-your-intentions/
I suppose when you know you only have a week to live . . . 🙂
Sounds as though they enjoyed that bit of life! 😉 mine is here: http://oldentimes.wordpress.com/2012/05/24/friday-fictioneers-may-25-but-you-sleep-on/
Hi Jan: Finally found you. What a delightful and different take on the prompt. I think this is the 3rd story using the name Luna…but fun to see you added a Lulu. Here’s mine:

Hahaha, well, at least they get to bask in the afterglow a little while. Better than the fate of preying mantids, I guess! That was cute, Jan 🙂
A few seconds left…haha. Cute. I suppose the fries are a cut above wanting a cigarette after the event.
Oh yeah…you can find my story @ http://www.rochelle-wisoff.blogspot.com/2012/05/rendezvous.html
Adorable story. Loved the names–Luna and Lulu. Moths don’t eat? I didn’t know that. I hope to get my blog either up and running this week (or switched over to WordPress). Hopefully, I can play next Friday!
Now that was great! Perked me up!
Somehow I missed this one. Clever and Cute. I didn’t know you were in Sacramento when you were 16.
